THE MCCLYMONTS STORY
Three sisters from Grafton on the NSW north coast of Australia have spent their young lives pursuing their musical dreams.
From a very young age the girls spent every weekend travelling up and down the east coast of Australia doing the hard yards of the well-worn country music talent quests.
The McClymonts were finally able to unleash their musical alchemy and soaring vocal perfection when they were found and signed by Universal Music Australia and released their first self titled EP in June 2006.
They toured Australia performing to full houses every night supporting multi award winner and Australian of The Year Lee Kernaghan, plus music festivals across the country.
The girls were also invited to perform for the Australian troops based in Iraq and Afghanistan over Christmas and New Years 06/07. They spent 15 days in the desert flown around by Hercules to numerous bases situated all over the Middle East playing 12 concerts as part of the Tour De Force program.
Since the release of their EP and album the media quickly recognized their increasing popularity. They appeared numerous times on most of Australia popular television shows such as Sunrise, The Today Show, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, 9 am and featured on Channel 9’s high rating life style show “Getaway” where the girls presented their hometown of Grafton (NSW) to the Nation. Not to mention their forthcoming appearance on Network 10’s series ‘Neighbours’ in 2008.
Following the spotlight of press, magazine shoots and radio interviews they where thrilled to be invited to perform on one of Sydney’s top rating radio stations NOVA with the infamous breakfast crew Merrick and Rosso.
A memorable moment and great honor for The McClymonts was when they where invited to perform Delta Dawn, a tribute to Helen Reddy at the ‘Aria Hall of Fame’ awards 2006 and then again in 2008 when sung and danced alongside The Wiggles with many famous guests on a benefit concert for UNICEF.
The McClymonts stake their claim and aim to create their own music history, one that is rich with magical voices, heartfelt lyrics and unforgettable melodies.
